    My old setup for reference.

The new caliper will be grafted onto the same rotor.

wow that is the best sounding Miata I've ever heard.

                Epic cams must have helped.

Real Skyline owners have lost at least one to a freakish accident (*- ω -) = #dungive'a

                    Yes.

And Mike, the cams are just set to a mild overlap right now to aide in good idle for break in. Once the Rotrex is on, the cams will get some fine tuning done.

Overall duration is approx 300* IN EX. I don`t remember exactly what.

.050`` duration is 207* IN and 213* exhaust.

According to Ocean these are `mild`by his standards. His Miata runs cams that are in the 260* duration at .050`` lift with 11mm lift (Note this is extreme.. most cams are that duration overall, not at .050 lift). My cams are only 8mm lift

This is one of his other builds. 2.0L stroked, 13:1 comp, IRTB etc. Around 210whp. Wait until after the warm up lap. And that is an NSX in front and an STI trying to keep up. It was also only at 80% throttle that day, and it was the first day with the aero. According to Ocean they lost 10kph on the front straight with the splitter, diffuser and wing.

And another local 1.7L NA Miata he built

Well the base tune is done. Took it to 5000RPM mostly with one pull at the end to 5300. The cams start to come on right at 5000RPM and we wanted to see how it did with a few more RPM. There is a 10wtq/10whp jump from 5000RPM to 5300RPM. Only fuel was tuned, no timing and it's very conservative. Pretty impressed for a low compression (8.7:1) 1.6L to pump out 100whp/wtq at such low RPM since stock averages 90whp. Engine is very smooth, and reacted to even the smallest of changes in the map. It should make some good power with the Rotrex.

Going to run it with the RPM limit for a while and the Rotrex should go on sometime before April.

A few pics. Vid is uploading right now.
