the russian captain played with bruised ribs, a few of the russian guys on my team are good friends with him... and none of the kids that played in that tourny lacked heart.

Def lacked respect though, i thought it was pretty tacky how as soon as he lifted the the trophy he sprinted directly to the side the canadians were lined up on.

I'm a real pro: I don't care about sports. What happened that I missed?

Canada was leading 3-0 in the third and Russia won 5-3.

Did any one catch in the news today that the entire Rusain team was kicked off their flight going home due to being too rowdy? My co-worker filled me in and mentioned that they were reported "to continually bounce around the plane chanting "We beat canada!"" I'm sure they were yelling in Russian so thats just the english translation. Having just won Gold, or any medal for that matter, show some respect.

We'll get them next time, but we tend to be good sportsmen whether we win or lose.

We totally blew that game, but we weren't even slated to take home a medal with this team...

How many of the Russians currently play in the KHL, versus Schenn who has played what... 3 games in the NHL? Sure we had a couple draft picks in there, but other than that we were the underdogs. We dropped the ball and embarrassed ourselves on a world level but no one thought they'd make it to the quarters, never mind contend for the gold. We did great all things considered, and at the end of the day it has built us some modest and now humbled players that will be more respectful and a force to be wrecking with in coming Olympic Tournaments, and the NHL etc.

As for your ridiculous comment, I must remind you many NHL and other larger league coaches used to play in some sort of a professional manner, therefore they are coaching from experience. You can read up on Dave Cameron here but the one part I wanted to highlight was this:

"[Dave Cameron] played 168 NHL games with the Colorado Rockies and New Jersey Devils from 1982-84, recording 53 points (25G, 28A)."
