the big extra was more than just a qp and mayo. it had special seasoning, the patty was bigger and less greasy than a qp patty...

Nope patty was the exact same size as the 1/4 pounder, and all McDonald's burgers have the "special seasoning". I also found it to be less greasy... not sure why, maybe all the toppings soak it up?

Big Xtra is.... Seeded bun, 1/4 pound patty, mayo on top bun, ketchup on bottom bun, sliced onion, pickles, lettuce, tomato, 2 slices of cheese put together in star formation

How do I know it so well you ask???? I worked at McDonald's for like 3 years... long long ago haha

The big extra was the sshhiitt!!!! Beat tasting, and most enjoyable. I just don't get why they got rid of it. I usually only get mcdonalds these days when I'm drunk, usually tastes awesome that night until I regret it in the morning ... Lol.

                        Mcdonalds ftw!
Miss driving sooooo bad! Need to get a car on the road ASAP!

the patty may weigh the same but it wasnt round... as mentioned it was jelly bean(or kidney) shapped... and the seasoning that went on to the big x was different than the season that goes on the 1/4 and reg patties... i too worked at mcd's like 10yrs ago when it first came out... perhaps the reason why they wre not as greasy was because of the 1/4qp patty being spread out thinner...

...Am I the only one who remembers McD's pizzas? It was like eating a huge round flat fries with tomato paste on top.
