  • highway crash in the winter better this morinin. what to buy?

so this mornin on highway 16a goin about 115-120km somebody cut me off on black ice so over the meridian i went. after catchin some air , a 20 foot nose slide and a yell somewhere between nooooooo! and weeeeeeee! i ended up in the opposing ditch. luckely no one was coming the other way. cars most likley a right off. too bad the thing was a good little car 1995 corrola with 411 000km goin strong. im ok just a little stiff n soar

the question now is what to buy now? Gtr's still tucked away with the snow on the ground so If anybody has some cool ideas for winter vehicles or for just good reliable ones let me know. Probably just end up spending $3000 on a desc condition older civic but if a good deal comes along or something interesting i could spend $10 000 or $13 000 but probably just go the cheapo route

ps (yes it did look like i pissed myself whens the cops got there cuz coffee spilled all over the front of my pants lol)

if he wants to go the cheaper route, a 98-01 impreza 2.5RS would be the way to go.

OT, but what were you doing driving 120 km/h on black ice? Police officers do come on these forums from time to time and by making that statement you could be implicating yourself for tickets for speeding and driving without due respect for road conditions, and you gave enough information for them to figure out who you are.

subaru would be nice but you gotta remember awd turbo = expensive maintence. If you want a cheap good reliable dd get a honda! i have had hondas all my life i could get parts for cents. they are easy to insure, amazing on gas, and reliable! honda makes the best dds out there

Agreed but they cant charge you for it.... you can say anything on the internet and it will no be seen as evidance. I could say that I killed a man.. they will not charge me for murder.
                  I drive a Honda...

Don't be too sure, even Facebook postings can be grounds for certain charges now, it is starting to happen, I couldn't believe it either. The fact that he was in an accident and police were called makes it a verified incident and with the statement made there could be the possibility of it could be used against him, either for formal charges or insurance issues. Maybe I'm paranoid, but it's still not a good idea to post that sort of statement ( Nor, as he admitted, is driving at that speed - but everybody makes mistakes), more and more internet postings are being used as evidence for further investigations and/or charges.
