The charger actually does nothing down low. It's not a supercharger in the sense most people thing "supercharger = instant boost". It ramps up with RPM. If I drive under 4k it is slow. Anything above that it is faster than any car I've owned so far.

I was running Hankook Z214 slicks on the track, but I didn't like them. Moved to an R888 for the rest of this season and next year I'll try the Hoosier R6. On the street I rock bald RT615s because all my money goes to track stuffs.

Lol that's awesome man. Hope you manage to get some tread on your street tires though.

Ya I was definitely thinking that the super charger would hit down low. This was my thinking because for the most part that's what they do. My question now is though, if it hits top end why didn't you go with a turbo? I mean I don't know what your lower gains are from the supercharger but a turbo would be able to do the same as well. I'm just curious...
Miss driving sooooo bad! Need to get a car on the road ASAP!

you dont really think fd's weigh the same as miatas? just asking because miatas (your gen) weigh about 700+pounds less than a FD. that be great if it were true!

My Miata weighs about 2500lbs with me in it and partially stripped out. My old FD was just over 2700lbs with a full interior. Def not 700lbs.

I did the whole turbo thing already. For street use it is better, for what I wanted the Rotrex is wicked. Linear easy to modulate power (like a BIG N/A), very low IAT, underhood temps, no chance of boost failure (spikes/creep = blown motor) and I kept stretching my manifold to turbo studs. So far I have not had to touch a single thing under the hood in 2 track days, one hill climb, 4ish autoX and 10k of street driving.

Ok cool, just trying to understand the logic. I can see now why you went this way.

Falcon by the way you have now inspired me to do stupid things! I want to take a run at a fc or fd now and throw a 26b in and see how she pulls. This will be a project for next year but holy **** would that pull! Over 2600cc in a rotary=scary fast!

Yes this would be a fun car to ride in. If I wasn't so far away I would definitely ask for a spin, that is if you still have 2 seats in there.

And yes I know the cost of them. Wourth while in my opinion. When people dump all they're money into say rb30's I look and see what this motor can put out and holy bajesus this thing would rip! I would love that motor in a fd but for some reason I don't think I could street it, lol

And this is one of the reasons why I love the fd. The other reason is obviously the looks.

The miatas are like a sleeper car(well falcons anyways) but you never excpect that kind of powaaaaa

So when's the next miata / skyline race?

I'd love to see a stock GTR get pounded by a miata!

Had a track day today. M13 can chime in on how fast it is.. he was there in his Skyline. I need aero and get my wilwoods on. Ran 1:18.4's all day at Mission which is bloody fast for a car that really hasn't had much set up time. Once it's all said and done I think the car is capable of a mid-upper 1:15. The GTM cars (porsche GT3 cup cars etc.) race in the 15's on road race weekends.
