Thanks for your advice Daryl, if you don't mind me asking, what do you think Approx those other parts are worth?

I did make another list this morning with higher prices. The first one I wanted to make was hopefully a worst case scenaro list but I'm still guessing on alot of stuff. I did some searches but it's really hard to get values second hand on some of that stuff.

          My personal opinions...

The ohlins are worth about double what you have listed (granted they have no leaks and are in good shape).
The exhaust is close to market price (maybe a hundred or 2 lower but selling catbacks is tough due to shipping costs)
The headlights I have no idea. I do recall pricing them out last year for someone and the only set I found was around 2000 (new). Maybe half that used if they are in good shape.

One of our first R33 GTR`s had these headlights (J`s midnight purple) and they are awesome.

I'm not desperate, like I said I started a new career and the car just isn't a fantastic fit right now. I do have another car but its simply not as professional as I would like. I'd like to start off fresh with a clean slate is all.

Thanks guys for your advice on pricing, still hoping it doesn't get to that point but to be realistic. Its hard to not consider it, if I have to sit on it for the winter and r33 pricing drops. Its hard to justify selling the car as a whole for 15k when in parts its worth 25. It's a shame I know but for a 10 thousand dollar difference...

Its the price we pay for having cars as a hobby. Vehicles are such a poor investment but for some of us (like me) they keep us sane.

The headlights are really hard to find pricing on, I have been looking but man they are all over the place. I remember seeing them for $2500usd in a couple of places when I got them, but I can't find them now. I really can't believe 1300 brand new though, that seems a bit impossible for the price to drop that much considering if anything supply has gone down and demand has gone up.

Cars are crappy investments but at least with this type of car you don't loose as much as a regular car, well unless you count modifying it.

link provided for headlights. $666.77 each side and they are in Tacoma WA. I usually get them ship to US since I am 20mins away from the border. Even if you ship to canada, after tax n duty, it's still under $1600.

Cool, Ok well I emailed them just to verify that they can actually still get them. Regardless I'm thinking I would probably start a for sale thread at say $1150? Then see where that goes. I will be honest though I did have to change the plugs on the headlight to the non hid plugs off the old lights as the xenon lights don't plug into the stock harness. Obviously I would need those plugs back to put on the old lights so whoever got them would have to snip the plugs off the stock r33 lights and solder them on the new lights, no biggy though it has to be done unless your putting them a 97+.

Speaking from experience, the only problem with parting out is that the most desired stuff sells instantly.

Then, you've got 80% of a car that sits, for months, and months, and months. Little stuff, but little stuff makes up the majority of your list. Youll sell the bumpers, motorset, headlights, brakes, and the exhaust quickly. Seeing as its an R33, which are much less popular in terms of landed units, itll be tough to sell the run of the mill OEM stuff

                            Just my two cents!
                            Victory is on the horizon..

Ya my hope would be to sell a lot of the small oem parts through skylineowners to European skyline owners. Since they have had them longer I figure the likelyhood of needing small parts is much greater.

In any case, $750-1000 for those lights is a good price. There is another set on here right now for sale at $1000.
