Does anybody know any tuners in the GTA? I assumed that I could leave off the "good" part 'cause of course I want a good tuner. My car drives like a bag of poop and I need to tune it.
Thanks,
Kirk

Depends on what kinda of ECU you gonna tune with. If u gonna just chip it and use the stock ecu.. it is gonna run like crap no matter what. There are a couple of reputable tuners in Toronto I know that have dealt with skylines before:
Neetronics
Dan@U2dyno
Monster turbo (J&R)

Thanks Harv, but I have tried these three...
Neetronics:Booked until May 27th.
Dan:I've been trying to work something out with him since Monday but he doesn't return my calls or messages. Probably busy, but a response would be nice.
Monster Turbo:Spoke with Ryan (I think) and I didn't get a warm fuzzy feeling (he may have been pre-occupied).
I didn't think this would be so difficult to find someone to tune it.
Oh, and I have an Apexi PFC L-Jetro.

I've been tossing around the idea of maybe pooling a bunch of us local guys to fly someone in from the UK. Tons more experience with RBs will certainly mean a better tune....

Most likely this would never happen tho... Everybody's cars progress are very different. Some one could still be building their cars when the tuner comes to Canada. It is almost impossible to schedule it. Also there are just not enough people who would actually commit for this to happen (to be actually somewhat cost effective). I would like to see this happen just as much as you. But for now most of us will probably have to stick with local Guys.
Kirk: I guess u will have to wait for a bit... May 27 isnt that bad.. you will still make the skymeet...

Engines are engines are engines.
RB motoring is in the US, same with XS Engineering, Horsepower Freaks, and Jeff Evans out east. You don't need to get somebody from the UK in here to do a good tune.

True. Every engine has it's idiosyncracies though. An experienced guy will know exactly what to check when he sees a particular symptom.
There are plenty of good tuners in NA. (North America, not Natually Aspirated.) There's a guy recommended on emspowered.com who flies to location to tune.
I have no doubt that NA has alot of good tuners. The lack of experience on the RB is my concern. I'm sure someone with 10 years experience tuning skylines would completely dissagree with the "an engine is an engine" mentallity.
Performance wise still around? Last i heard, they tuned nistune?
We have a local here in Montreal that does Nistune, as a last resort.
