I had so much fun doing Auto-x last year so this will be amazing! Its going to be interesting to see what this Skyline can really do.

Everyone else just needs to take the plunge, this is what these cars were built for!

Sounds good! I don't know if I will try any Time Attacks this year, all depends on how well I do with the lapping haha.

Looking forward to hitting the track!

They are all weekends. Usually 4 lapping days and we've got 4 Time Attacks booked and we're looking at doing one or two more.
If you're interested give me a call (I'll PM you my #) and I'll get your membership set up.
As far as when to register I wouldn't go any later than late April.
I'm one of the instructors and VP of one of the organizations so there's a pretty good chance of squeezing you in if you register at a reasonable time.

So I looked in to this, read all the rules and regulations. It looks like I would be all set to come down for this unless work gets in the way. I would like to wait before I sign up just in case something does happen, when would you recommend as the absolute latest?

How many Lapping days do they have a season? They are all on weekends I'm assuming?

ASCC High Performance Driving School – May 18-19, 2014

    *This event fills up fast**

The first ASCC High Performance Driving School of 2014 will be held during the long weekend on Sunday May 18th and Monday 19th, 2014. This session is open to anyone who wants to learn some of the more advanced techniques and track safety to qualify for a Lapping card or Time Attack license for the 2014 season. Remember that you REQUIRE one of these licenses to drive at ARMS AMP events (outside of schools or slalom events)!

The High Performance Driving School will take place starting with a evening classsroom session at 6:30pm Sunday May 18th at 100 Dispensing Way, Lower Sackville followed by an all day track session at Atlantic Motorsport Park on Monday May 19th. Entry fee is $230.00 which includes the Lapping card and/or Time Attack license for students who successfully complete the school. This course consists of a classroom session instructing students on the theory and physics of high performance driving as well as track safety and the following day consists entirely of on-track activities with small groups of students paired to experienced instructors.

    Any questions please email hpds@ascc.ca

Here's some info for anyone who would like to get into some competition. This should give you enough time to get ready. The 1st school is usually later in May. I'll post later and watch this link:

So here are the Time attack dates for the 2014 season. It will be a regional series.
    Looking at 4 events.
    June 21 ASCC. AMP
    July 12. AFRA AMP
    Aug 16. ASCC AMP
    Sept 20. AFRA AMP

All events will happen on ARMS Race weekends. So stick around for another day to watch more compititon.
The price and event details are still being worked out, But every event will have the same layout and pricing. So all 4 weekends will be the same. The biggest part for competitors will be Pre-registration. We really need to know. We talked about a 1 week must. If we dont have the numbers then its not going to happen. I know we have the numbers to make all 4 events happen and if the numbers are there then the next year we can look at more events and Prices. So these dates are up now so everyone can plan ahead.

Here's another chance for anyone who's interested.
If you come out on the Saturday I will be able to instruct at least one of you. If your safe and show reasonable car control we can get you signed off with a Time Attack license. Almost anyone can get signed off for a lapping license.
You won't find cheaper track time anywhere.
