Hmmm ok I will do some looking into this. My other question is, does what ever is underneath the wrap have to have a full base-clear paint before coverage? I am wondering because I am planning on doing a K-Break kit before the wrap and there is no point in painting further than primer if its not necessary..... I know primer will abosrb moisture but I am assuming the wrap is waterproof to the surface below so I wasnt sure if that would matter. Let me know what you guys think.

Primer will not work well. Wrap vinyl is designed to stick to glossy surfaces. Any time you have a respray it needs time to flash off. If the prep is not done correctly the vinyl will stick to paint, but when you remove the wrap the paint can come off with the vinyl. properly prepped and painted panels you wont have a problem with.
      You can't fix stupid.

Ok so if I was the leave the whole car factory paint except for the bumpers and skirts which will be aftermarket and left the primer the worst that could happen is the primer could come off with the vinyl when/if I remove it? Doesnt seem like to big a deal to me...I wasnt planning to leave the whole car primer, just the bumpers as I didnt see any point in painting them glossy only to have them covered up by vinyl.

I dont think it would stick to primer...

I dont get why people would pay so much for wrapping when painting is literally not much more, and looks a lot better with work

I assume it's because of the ease of removal with vinyl, as opposed to sanding and repaint if you want it back to normal in the future. I would personally just use Plasti-Dip on the roof, paint on top, and peel it off in the future if needed. I see people do it on rims all the time.
