1 - block the hicas's exit from the power steering pump, delete the pressure lines altogether
2 - block the hicas return line from the frontward selenoid to the p/s reservoir
3 - deleted frontward selenoid and all hydro lines going to the back actuator
4.1 - you can open the actuator and weld it solid from the inside, then realign the rear end
4.2 - you can delete the actuator by replacing it with a hicas lock bar, then realign the rear end
4.3 - you can delete the actuator AND the tie rods / tie rod ends by replacing the whole thing with an Hicas eliminator kit, , then realign the rear end
5 - take the gauge cluster off, remove the hicas warning light's buld
6 - remove the hicas ECU from the trunk
    7 - win

Tomei is the easiest, locks out HICAS both mechanically and electronically.
And it's completely reverse-able, so in the future if you or a future owner want HICAS back, it's done in about 30 minutes.

depends on the car's intended use and the amount of money you want to spend, since the eliminator kit is 3x or even 4x the price of most lock out bars

Daryl @ RightDrive got me my Tomei lock out for $200 and it only took about 2 weeks to come in. My car was night and day difference when I got it back and I have to say it was money well spent.

if its the total hicas eleminator, then yes its a good kit (can't load that page at work)
i had major issues fitting mine, but apparently i hadn't received the right kit in the box

anyway, theres a couple of us on here who go it during a group buy last year, and i think everyone is quite pleased with it

I'm confused with above mentioned kit, is it a complete delete or just a lock-out?
