NEW MTO Requirement

Anyone recently registering a car have any problems with the dealer letter VIN-confirmation requirement?

The issue seems to have disappeared for awhile but it looks as if it's reared its ugly head again...

Mitch, did you manage to find out if this blatantly obstructive tactic by the MTO has been voided yet?

The Ontario Vehicle Inspection Safety Certificate is acceptable as confirmation of the VIN.

Terribly sorry for reviving a dead thread but I can confirm as of Feb, 2013 that this is still in effect.
