so...awsome news i found out today. picked up my stock skyline lights and cornerlamps, go to the shop to get them thrown in quickly, only to find out that the douchenuts that put the DOT lights in at (bleep*edit*) service shop cut the **** out of the rad support frame (headlights bolt onto it) so i cant even put the headlights on!! ahhh!!! :hit_head: :hit newb: i even know the guy that did the work...so now i get to go to a body shop to get them to fix his f*%K up just so i can run stock skyline lights.... (/rant)

yeah not to worry i think i've got a plan figured out! might even possibly have it done by friday! going down to JB to get the female end connectors to crimp on,then over to a shop just past thrifty's on admirals that a friend works at to get a couple mounts welded on, then i should be rolling stock lights!

First off cloudy. The headlights are to replace the stock lights for legality. When you get pulled over for stockies which you will! they will first seize yer car, then sell for parts only possibly(maybe a rumor). Tthe stock corners will still fit and accord lights will fit also. So when you get Fuggered my the PoPo dont come cryin this way. I dont wanna sound like an a$$hole but im tired of people fuckin around with legal **** It only fucks people trying to import other vehicles in the future.Why do you think dot compliances got so bad??

When you get pulled over for stockies which you will! they will first seize yer car, then sell for parts only possibly(maybe a rumor).

thats the stupidest thing i've ever heard.. you can't seize a car for non dot headlights... you'd get a vi at worse

like %50 of people run stock. i'm pretty sure youd' hear about it if peoples cars were getting seized. if your drunk, racing or the car is seriously unsafe they can seize and headlights don't make it unsafe.

seizier is rumor mill. I know hence the reason i wrote that. What im saying is the whole making DOT compliances harder to get trough. making import harder in the longrun.

icbc aren't the ones changing the rules tc is so if you get pulled over my tc then yea you miiight make importing harder but probably not.

alright guys lets just give take it easy, as nice as it is to have the stock lights the fact is they are not legal, as much i want to have them in..at this point its easier to mount dot ones, accord lights for example, they still look good with stock corners, and wont get hassled by the police, other motorist being blinded by the lights, and icbc....so lets put the argument to rest shall we?
