As for snow tires..
i have never owned anyone..
New All-seasons is as close to snow tires as i have ever had..

and that was on my Crx..

Its bc... we don't need snow tires. It snows like 5-6 times in a year and when it snows you just go ahead and have fun sliding around.

things to keep in mind in these weather conditions, Throttle=Bad, Brakes= Even worse... Use as little throttle as possible and keep the revs low, and let the Gearing slow you down, only use your brakes when you are almost at the stalling point in first(even stil,l tap and feather, no need to lock up right way, and with poor traction, THEY WILL lock up), like others said before it's all about feel...

Sorry to see this man...I just bought new all seasons down in the states for under $500, it was well worth the investment.
Are you able to cover the other person's damage with your insurance? Like you say, on the plus side you will save money on insurance by fixing it yourself...

$500 for snow tires? are you crazy... i don't spend that much for my max performance tires in a 255 and 235 stagger.

If you really want snow tires, get 'em for free from a dealership scrap pile or a wreaking yard.... for me, thats way too much effort.

Al my money is tied up in my cars..
I mean all..
All i got is 2 GTS-T. and i had to borrow some $$$ to get the other one..
all my other cars are POS..

An accident is the last thing i need.. ever..
this I will be eating Pizza pops for the next year to pay off all this stuff..
