well i was there for a bit saw the gtr do a couple pulls and i think it hit 478 or something like that. on stock turbos. there was a bunch of nice cars there. but i didnt see any thing blow .
THANKS to everyone who came out today to make this event a HUGE success! We had a lot of fun, and I hope you guys did too!
By the end, we had dyno runs on 9 cars on RG's AWD Mustang dyno. For those that don't know, RGs heart-breaker reads 15-20% lower than the average dynojet, but it's a much better tool for accurate tuning. The record on this dyno is currently 550RWHP (although we plan to break that shortly ).
In total, we dyno'd:
1 X R32 GTS-T (218RWHP)
4 X R32 GT-R (230-476AWHP)
2 X 300ZX (320-380RWHP)
1 X 240SX (373RWHP)
1 X G35 (200RWHP)
There were lots of fun dyno runs, and I think everyone got a little insight into their tunes, and where they can be improved!
After the dyno runs, Jurie and Andrew threw their cars on the dyno, and demonstrated what happens when you throw too much timing and boost at the engine.
Jurie's 240SX SR20DET GT3071R managed 373RWHP@23PSI, but then detonated like mad at 32PSI before popping the coil packs off the spark plugs! Can't wait to see the pistons in that engine!
Andrew's GT-R struggled a bit with a dying turbo, but still layed down 476AWHP (at least 550AWHP on a dynojet) on stock turbos at 26PSI before popping cylinders 5 and 6! Even after the cylinders went, they managed 446HP @ 28PSI before a stock turbo finally popped.
Thanks to everyone that showed up to participate, and special thanks to Jurie and Andrew for volunteering their cars, and coming up with the idea for this event! I hope everyone had a great time! This is the second dyno day we've hosted, and we'll definately be doing an even bigger one next year with more time for tuning more cars!
I'll post tonnes of pics and videos tomorrow!!!

Haha I personally had a great time seeing everyone...was an awesome 6 hours spent at the dyno...time flys...
I am glad i got to do this, and see that my stock Rb26 manage a 230 AWHP run...i am impressed no doubt....even though it needs a new gasket and has a vacuum leak ...
Regardless was fun, and now i have some original charts to compare to my new ones come March when Z Tune takes her under the knife...
Once again thanks alot to mike and the Z Tune team...ill have my pics and videos up tomorrow
PS: if anyone has some pics/videos of my car i would love get them...i had to delete some of mine to fit Andrews amazing car on my camera's memory haha...
thanks...

Next time make sure i have a car before this goes down..
Hehe, sorry Ben, I'll make sure to clear all event dates with you in the future!
We can book dyno runs or tuning at a later date if you have a car you want to try out, and we'll definately do another dyno day (or weekend) in the spring.

Mine was the chibi-spoiler black GTR. I logged 317AWP @ 14PSI.
The graphs were stable, and the PFC handled things well... I'm going to get a new timing belt and 100k kit prolly next week, and get my ATI damper installed (check oil pump/drive collar/etc- since what i was told i have when i purchased the car is likely not the case...)... and lookin for a good 2stage boost controller then i'll take another run at it. I'm shooting for a stable 350-400AWHP on that dyno. I'm also gonna get some electric fans to take some load off the crank- maybe a new rad because mines fugly and rusty lol.
I'll put some pics and my dyno sheet up a lil later.

Thanks again for the event guys, I'm glad I threw my car up there on the dyno!
I put down 256 AWHP on my best run, with the stereo cranked
Good times!

Good plan...basic maintenance and safety stuff first, then a good boost controller will keep it fast and reliable!
In terms of boost controllers, if I can make a suggestion, take a look at the Blitz SBC iD Spec-R, or the Blitz iColor Spec-R. Both use the same dual solenoid and control module which is the best I've seen to date. They simply kick ass on any car, any turbo, and they are especially good for fast spooling BB turbos where many other controllers have issues with spiking.
The Blitz controllers are one of the more expensive EBCs, but the faster response and better peak hold makes them cheap considering the extra HP you get out of them. I definately recommended them over Greddy/Apexi/HKS/etc. We have switched pretty much all of our personal cars to them, and every car has seen an improvement in turbo response and holds peak boost better without dropping PSI at higher RPM.
Lol...in case you can't tell, I love mine
