R34 x2 in nanaimo BC.

Apparently there are two plated and street legal r34s in nanaimo BC owned by a man named moose. Can anyone verify these are true r34s and that they are street legal?

I have been up to nanaimo a fair amount and have never seen one... if this is true id like to come up and look at them just cuz iv never seen one in person!

i highly doubt it but you never really know, maybe a couple of kit cars...

Someone with time and money can certainly get them in semi-legally. So long as it is semi-legally with lots of elbow grease involved, and as long as everything started as parts before coming back together in your garage, I think they don't care.

Which would explain a whole whack of cars in Canada that aren't supposed to be here yet, at least not without diving through loopholes :P

edit: these loopholes aren't just used for super tyte jdm cars, either. There were (are) several inadmissable US market cars rolling around in BC that came in as a box of parts. This was back before our bumper standards were changed to match the americans.

I think there's a law about being able to bring your car over for one year if you're an immigrant. There's a guy in Abby trying to offload his late model Alfa that came into Canada throught that exemption. Looks shady.

kit cars are not allowed in Canada unless they are over 15 years old. This prevents new cars from being brought in as parts and then re-assembled, and then registered as a kit car.

Interestingly enough, you can still bring parts in and then assemble the car, you just register it as a homebuilt or homemade car or something like that. I'm pretty sure that's how they do it.

Doesn't bug me tho, if someone has the money and they want to do it, then more power to them, I say. They aren't hurting anyone or anything. Except their bank account.

i had a a friend of a friend swear they were there. and he was trying to tell me that he was gonna get one, i told him it probably wasnt a true r34 or it wasnt truely street legal. probably just another loser who knows EVERYTHING about skylines cause some random dude he knows has one

My friend saw a BNR34 in Toronto, it was brought over with the 1 year immigrant law thing, he was there on business and was able to bring his whip with him.

As for the cars youre talking about, I remember hearing about a silver one out there, but from what I was told it was taken off the roads a few years back.
