I run a ATS carbon 1.5way and I love it. The price is a bit much but it is very nice around town and locks up hard when asked to.

I don't think they are very drag oriented but they are worth looking into.

I almost forgot about the ATS Carbon.......

Were you able to secure it locally from a dealer ? or through Vividracing ?

Ask R.I.P.S what front diff they use on their drag cars. I've heard they run OEM, but it'd be worth verifying.

If you take up the slack in the drive train before feeding it the fat you can drive crazy torque through the OEM diffs. If you hammer it and slam things together you'll be quite successful at breaking even very strong components.

Ah yes, good ol' preload. In Honda circles that's the difference between people who run 9's on stock transmissions/axles, and the people who wonder why they're tearing drivetrain stuff up at 330whp.

Does anyone ever run a 'linelock' ? for preload, or do they simply get creative with the ebrake on the line ?

I know that launching an AWD car is pretty much an art form, which is where WE in the GTR community get off pretty easy compared to a DSM or EVO.

It's almost funny, but both the AMS and Buschur cars that run 9's or less look almost sloppy and roling off the line and not even close to hard launches.

Launching an true AWD and lanching a GTR are a different animal, trust me, not even close. It's an art, which I am incapable of...lol

Watch the launches and specifically the roll/slip of the EVO compared to the complete DROP from the GTR. Which do you think takes more skill to accomplish ?

Can the drivetrain just not take the abuse, whereas the skyline slips the load first at the rear wheels anyway?
I haven't had the chance to drive anything like that.
