The only reason I even brought that up (HPI) was perhaps they are in some sort of Deal with Tomei now....kinda like everyone is with HKS and Trust ?

Perhaps HPI is rebranding Tomei parts, it wouldn't be far fetched, however there is really no certain way to know. I think there are some visual differences though that would indicate that they are not. But that is just my opinion

These must have been a 'secret' design that Tomei were selling to HPI for the last decade or so and have only just this year decided to sell them under their own namebrand.

no but, attitude aside... hes right, HPI has been using that design since... ever, the newly redesigned tomei dumps looks almost identical.

Well, the reason I bough the tomei outlets was cause they didn't use welds (like HPI) and Tomei has better R&D which is why I don't mind spending more money. Tomei has been one of the top GTR part designers since the begining. Tomei is not like GReddy who make parts for everything.

When I install a Tomei part on my car, I know that it's not some cheap part manufactured on a "build it cheap" budget. Tomei gives me peace of mind.

As for the HPI vs Tomei issue, I didn't say they are doing it, I just said that it wouldn't be far fetched. If you read my post I did say they are visually different.

Braden, they are nice!! Like I said I have one on my car and I really like it, however there made need modifications made to make it fit with some turbos.
I had to cut off the lips around the inlets to make it fit with my 2530s.
But definitely a nice choice
