Most are custom. The ones I've seen ran over $2500. You're better off low mount twins or single top mount. Unless you're running bigger than -10 turbos.Last edited by NismoS-tune; 11-28-2010, 07:22 PM.Black 1991 GTR. Serious garage stand mantle/parts car.

hks makes a set but its big dollars. wat size turbos are you running? dont quote me ... but i believe if u decide on low mounts and wanna push some big power. I believe a set of 3071r's can be done you just need to get some housings. Basically, you're looking at a high flow 2871r. A high flow turbo is considered to have bigger wheels. I still have to check a few measurements as I am looking to run a set of hybrid low mounts just because i have a ton of aftermarket parts on turbo side of my motor. (everything has been replaced) I believe the twOOgle car runs hybrid low mount turbos (its a 9sec car). hks gtrs turbine with hks 3040 compressor. I run a hybrid turbo on one of my cars just because its looks like a stock setup and when I already have an upgraded manifold and exhaust system that works, it was a no-brainer.1970 Ford Mustang Fastback -> Fully Restored with Built 351W Motor

Only noticeable advantage of the top mount over bottom mount is the top mount setup makes it a lot easier to switch the turbos..10 Infiniti FX35

I was thinking of doing this over the winter. Could it work with stock turbos? I like the thought of seeing them instead of being hidden. I know intercooler piping would need to be custom but what else would need to be done?
Anyone have pics of their top mount set up?
I was looking at this. Pretty pricey but not as bad as other guys.

Full race is planning on dynoing the two r34's they have back to back. One has twin 6258's and another has a single 8374 w/ internal gate. I'm interested to see the results but I have my money on the single. Twins are great for low end power (under 4000-4500) but I think singles have the advantage in the mid-to-top range. I don't want to turn this into a big single vs twin debate and I'm not going to make any decisions until full race posts results.

Well I don't remember exactly what's it's called but you can run a smaller turbo and a bigger turbo allowing you to have the best of both worlds. And you'll still have the twin top mount and great performance. I think it's called "bi-turbo" or running it parallel turboes. This would also be a good option for youMiss driving sooooo bad! Need to get a car on the road ASAP!
