He did mention that he wanted to keep his car street legal. his biggest problem is that he lives in Quebec, we're not allowed to do much without being bitched at here.

I think before we can help you skylinegtr777 you must give us an idea as to what you want to do with your car and your budget.

    Some easy ones:

    - Air conditioning (the whole thing, including the radiator thingy under the dash)
    - sound deadening under the carpets
    - replace front seats with the lightest ones you can afford. If you're putting a cage in, I'd suggest Kirkey aluminum seats, though they need a back brace I highly doubt the SAAQ or the Police will like these
    - replace hood with FRP or CF Good idea if you have huge amounts of money to blow because if it's not dry carbon fiber don't expect to lose any weight.
    - remove interior trim Again, you're looking for trouble with the SAAQ and Police
    - remove stereo (including speakers, wiring, antenna, amp, etc.) Great idea for a track car, not so much for a street car.
    - remove trunk trim/interior panels, spare tire great idea, save a ton of weight, could cost you a lot in tow truck fee's later on though.
    - remove any wire and metal bracket you don't need (I've found quite a few of these) Also a great idea, just don't pull anything out that you not sure what it does.
    - Replace solid swaybars with hollow ones ?????? what???
    - Lighter wheels $$$$
    - Convert power accessories to manual and remove servos/actuators. These are usually quite heavy, so they can make a difference. For instance - power trunk release, rear window wiper, power locks, power windows (I'm still on the look-out for manual winder mechanism that would fit on my R33), depending on his model R32 or 33 there may not be that many electronic features.
    - Replace dash with FRP/CF/aluminum unit Again SAAQ and Police
    - tubular front-end (this is a big-time modification, so you better have a good fabricator) No comment....

Lot's of other ideas out there. Look to racers, racer websites/forums, etc. for more information.
The GT-R doesn't run on gas, but on the tears of children.
