not to keep preaching, but one of the beauties of running surface gap is, although they come with a heat range of 9, surface gap plugs inherently have NO heat range - the plug's outer electrode matches the cylinder head temp exactly, so you don't need to worry about running too hot a plug if you crank the boost, or deal with fouling if you're running a cold racing plug while just driving around town.
    1991 R32, 2860-5 turbos, build documented on gtr.co.uk, 700bhp on 110RON and 1.9 bars boost.
    2003 Audi RS6, Eurocharged Stage 2tune, 525bhp and 530lb/ft torque.
    2010 BMW S1000RR, PCV tune, 210bhp.

Unfortunately, you can't narrow the gap on those to help keep the fire alive if your ign. system isn't up to the task. Any resistance in those? The AutoLites are very low to also help coils that are a little weak.

hey I recently developed stuttering after 5000 rpm after the elbow on my twin turbo pipe blew off so i pulled out my plugs and they are ngk iridium BKR5EIX-11 so what I'm wondering is could the plugs have failed and caused an overboost which caused the elbow to blow off just wondering if anyone experienced anything like this before

Whats the coldest you have started your car with the surface gaps. I agree about the heat range. These things are very hard to foul. Unless it's below 0...
