So I went out with my gtr and I was pushing it pretty hard and then I relized there was a puddle of oil underneath my car I peaked under and tre was a decent amount dripping I then poped the hood and there was oil all over the intake side, I also noticed the dip stick had poped out??? What does this mean/what causes this/how do I fix this or determine what it is?? Please help

+1 for crankcase pressure being too high. Unfortunately, it's usually too high for a reason and that reason often requires an expensive solution.
If your valve cover vent and PCV are plugged or something, just unplug them and try again. If they're adequately vented then there's probably a bunch of blowby getting into the crankcase past the pistons. Confirm with leakdown test.

in my case it was because i had reduced the size of the hoses (from 7/8 to 3/8) coming off the valve covers for the oil vapor recirculation system for my catch can
changed it all to 3/4 and it was fixed

As far as I know, the dipstick is the only thing that isn't screwed to the block that is oil related.
If logic serves me right, the oil in the pan/block isn't pressurized since it would need to be filled to the top with oil and that would impede piston movement. There must be some kind of leak / blockage allowing air to pressurize the block. The more likely reason for the dipstick to pop out would be blow by (as indicated by gl7 and gtrdad) A leak test would confirm this.Last edited by mikey; 11-23-2011, 04:41 PM.The GT-R doesn't run on gas, but on the tears of children.

ok so i lifted my car in the area there are no other oil leaks, so all the oil did come from shooting out the dip stick,
i did a compression test and all 6 came out to 150, and i did a leak test and all was good, i also checked the PCV valve, took it out rattles and is very well free flowing momevments, soo...???? im just thinking the dipstick is just too loose, and it does come oout very easily, anything else i could check that would be related to the dipstick poping out??

The dipstick could be extremely loose and it won't cause a major spill if the crankcase isn't over pressurized.
It's illegal, but you could just stop the rerouting of the PCV back into the intake and allow it to flow into the atmosphere. It is a hefty fine if you are caught doing do ($365). Any car that came with factory emissions procedures cannot be removed.
Or get a catch can. I have a GReddy one for sale for $100 (or make an offer) picked up in Brampton.
Good luck!1989 R32 GTS-t (Sold)
