No offence but if you don't know where to start, you'd best get a mechanic to help you, tow it to a shop or go buy a book like auto maintenance for dummies.

It's most likely something that would take little time to diagnose but could require parts. Good luck.

Does it just tick when you try? If so battery doesn't have enough juice to crank, might have draw coming from somewhere even when car is off. Or loose wires. Start there

check your battery terminals, also check voltage. Check your voltages at the starter B+ terminal and voltage drops (search google for a walkthrough). Sounds like a low battery voltage or a loose connection to either the battery or starter. Getting access. power with a dying battery is very common because most access. circuits draw very little amperage compared to the huge draw from a starter.

Ever figure out your problem? I'm having same issues, suspect its at the starter

It's common for trunk light bulb to drain battery on R32 (remove it). It would drain battery on my car in less than a week, so removed trunk light bulb and it stopped.

Ya it wierd, I can hear a relay click for the starter but doesn't turn, must be the main pos to the starter, or maybe the starter, I'll have a better look tomorrow, hopefully I can push it into garage

Probably starter. With stuffed battery it does similar, but from memory you hear a transformer type of sound. Replacing battery is a easy way to eliminate it as a cause.

Jack it up and smack the bell housing in the area of the starter with a hammer while someone tries to crank it.
The solenoid which engages the starter gear to the flywheel sometimes gets a little sticky. A little (or a big) tap with a hammer should engage the cog.

Sounds like your starter is on its way out, but if you can free it up this way you should be able to get a few weeks or more out of it
