Skyline emblem / sing / logo on the hood and fenders???

What are the story on this two?? I own a GTR for around 4 years now, but when my buddy asked me what the one on the hood means or state i was stuck with the answer!!! And felt shame on top of myself, kinda checked google and here but not much explanation of this signs.
If this qestion was asked before please post a link, if you find some outside detaild info on this, like somwhere in Tyndago or somwhere else post the link as well.

I'm pretty sure it's the "S" logo for Skyline. This is the one on my hood:

The S stands for Spartan.
As in the air it was forged with.

90s gen Nissans were awesome for that... the cars oozed personality with their own logos.

The Skyline was the S
The Sylvia was a lightning bolt
The Pulsar was a crossed P

They just don't put as much work into them any more Now cars are all named with letters or numbers. No personality at all. Very bland
