  • A Toyota corolla kept up to me WTF?!?!

So I'm cruising down one of our local freeways and notice I'm in the open. I drop the hammer and spool up to 20psi and I'm gone. I look down at my gauges, everything is cool and I'm clipping along at 200kph (according to my Impul cluster), I look up again and I'll be damned, a Toyota corolla is on my ass! WTF?!?! Last time I looked my car is a GTR, RB26, yadda, yadda. Naw, can't be, son if a bitch is keeping up! I then bumped her up to 240kph, still there. By this time I'm worrying about parts flying off my car, lol. At this point I had to lift on the throttle cause we were catching up to traffic, I gave him a knod as he passed but man, I either have a bad speedo or that corolla was one hell of a sleeper. I honestly still can't wrap my head around it.

Lol! It happened to me last year. I was at a red light when I see an old toyota, (still not sure what model it was) like 2 cars from me. Green light then a stop sign. We're side-by-side. Looking at each other: then go! Ive been pretty conservative when dropping the clutch, but you know, he won. Even tho I was making 470 at the wheels at this moment (now 590)... Couple weeks later, I see a friend of mine, told him 'bout that (looking down at my feet, lol) and he said he knows the guy! That guy's been modding this toyota for like 10 years. He's got a big turbine etc... Have nevr seen that toyota again (wish I had)... I swear it woulda been different that time!

You nevr know what's hiding beneath the hood...

I think there's a Toyota Corolla station wagon downunder with 1000hp+ 2JZ that runs into 8sec? bracket. It's a street registered car. So if has a 2JZ under the hood, would explain why it's faster. I have seen a AE86 with 2JZ under the hood.

Would be cool with a R31 station wagon, RB26 or RB30.

Yeah people love building sleeper Toyota sedans.

Tony the Tiger of DMT (Dynamotorsports.ca) in Toronto ,
Built a,900hp 2002 camry with his brother its 100% oem looking from the outside

So if you see a silver stock camry being driven by a Chinese guy watch out

RCMP? evidently not...but I've heard of them putting sleepers out there and trying to initiate races on the streets.

I Love sleepers, there is something about them that is so awesome. The look on people's faces, my dad has a Newer Volvo V50 wagon with some work done to it (tune, exhaust, intake ect.) And its pretty damn quick, could easily take a stockish Sti no problem while still looking like your grandma's car, his other toy is a Busa though.. so a little less sleeper-esque.
                      I drive a Honda...

That Camry from DMT is a 1992, not 2002 and only has 567 WHP.

And they may be federal, but they don't have that kind of budget
Big expense for little to no results.

Tony is my tuner, I swear by him. Not to mention my 600hp rb25 completely stock runnin like a champ for two and a half years.
I know he blew the motor at one point, used to be pretty mental. It's definitely tuned down from where it could be.
Not to mention Tony has a 1209rwhp supra lol He won't take me out in it, says it stil scares him lol. Rear tires broke loose at 270km/h not long after he tuned it to that power. Maybe next year. Couldn't imagine how that power would feel
