  • Jokers Selling parts

Hey guys so hers the story. A guy on here post that he has parts for sale. I wanting to buy the part contacts the seller (now refered to as that joker) to arrange payment and shipping. The joker replies and says local pickup i agree and ask for an address, none is given. The joker is then going to tell me that becasue of my location i cannot own a skyline much less drive one. Well I hope the joker reads this and for his education would like him to know that I own 2 R32 gtr skylines. Long and short of it are there still ignorant people in the world? Does you geographical location in the world prevent you from owning a Skyline? Let me know what you guys think

Epic fail. The US I believe cannot own R32's yet. In Canada u should be fine except Quebec I think.

There are a number of legal R32's, 33's and 34's in the States, they were imported and made legal by MotoRex, they actually crash tested a few iirc, come with a special nameplate and VIN. It is a small group down there, made smaller by a recent crackdown on the grey market skylines that resulted in many being seized (and some crushed). A couple years and they can legally import (25 year rule).

As for Quebec, if it is currently there, it is grandfathered, can't bring any more JDM in due to a ban in place for the last year or two.

Actually all the R32s and R34s in the states are illegal, Motorex tried to sneak them in using the R33 crash data that they payed for. Some states are allowing them to be on the road but if the FEDs catch wind that you have one and they have nothing better to do....bye bye Skyline.

Talked to the guy with the R33 GTS25 that's in the Optima Road Challange (the one with Goldburg in it) at SEMA, his car is for sale..........wants $48,000 for it..LOL.

Not gonna happen. Importing cars "threatens the domestic car industry" as some will argue
I feel that it's just vehicle racism because of our good friends Paul walker and Vin diesel.
Regardless, our cars have been painted with a bad brush and the only changes will come when OUR generation comes into power.
It's coming to Ontario one of these days. My uncle works for the ministry of transportation and said they have been trying to change the 15 year law to 25 years for some time now and it will happen one day.

                        You are wrong.

There are about 100 Federalized R32-34 Skylines in the USA. You need to stop talking out of your behind and stop putting out false statements as fact.

None of the MotoRex Federalized cars were seized. All MotoRex Skylines have NHTSA bond release and are DOT/EPA compliant. A small group of them are also CARB compliant.

MotoRex did EXACTLY what the NHTSA asked of them. Nissan provided the false statement, that the three models were NOT substantially similar, to the NHTSA because the NHTSA wanted to give them a chance to disallow the Skyline. "Skyline" is a dirty word to the NHTSA, the less they deal with the Nissan Skyline, the happier they are.

Feds in the states dont really care if you own a skyline as long as you are not trying to sell them! for personal use you should be fine! read up the story on Big Bird R33 getting crushed
