Hey folks so I have an r32 gtr and my front axle is pretty much toast. Is it possible to remove the axle before it breaks and enable the car in just rwd mode and still be able to drive it? Until I acquire another axle obviously. Just want to be sure I won't destroy any running gear. Thanks!

Hmm... if it's really necessary you could pull the fuse for the 4wd system and that would shut down any power going to the front. I can't remember if you can just pull the front axle out and leave it out to drive... It's been awhile since I pulled mine but from what I remember it leaves a hole in the front pan/sump thingy. Best off to just park it and not destroy anything.1990 Skyline GTR Nismo #161

The axle is what holds the wheel bearing together. Please don't take it out and drive! Just do the right thing and have it replaced. They can be found used cheap.“Hey, come on, its a car right? No. It’s a symbol of your history, its a thread of continuity from which you came to where you are. It’s important that you don’t want to forget who you are.” -Dr.Phil in "Love the Beast"

I've seen them on ebay from a company in Australia. It's where I got my outters. Shipping was super fast and price was excellent.
