  • Headlight Upgrade

Hey all, I'm wanting to upgrade the headlights on my r32 gtr and looking for peoples opinions on products and any advice from similar projects! As of right now Im thinking of going with HIDs with Morimoto XD Angel Eyes, but am unsure of what stuff and procedures to go about doing that will work best. Ive read about people retrofitting e46 projector lens into their housings. I also heard decent stuff about theretrofitsource and think the bi-xenons are kinda cool. Any thoughts and opinions are welcome

Installing an E46 lens in stock R32 projector is POINTLESS, because our stock projector is a joke! If you really want to make it right you should consider retrofitting some sort of projector to your stock housing...

Ok that is very good to know! And that forum post is pretty BA too. But what are your thoughts on this kit from theretrosource? http://www.theretrofitsource.com/com...l#.UvZpHbT7DzY
You had said in your post that they have good stuff but if in the end retrofitting S2K projectors will be just as good quality and maybe save me money then I'd go that route.

I don't know what your goals are, budget - just throw a pair of HID's in there, quality - retrofit a custom projectors!
You should look on hidplanet they have comparison of xenon/bixenon projectors choose whatever you like more and go for it!! Look for a threads like this - http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/show...-TL-E55-FX-etc

But if I would ever to do it again i would probably do it with FX-R 3.0 projectors that im currently retrofitting into my SeR!

I did retrofit of FX-R In my gtr ,I would say if I do it again I would go with mini kit, these projectors are smaller and easy to retrofit,r33/r32 headlights housing and reflectors are not big,and lot's of cutting and fitting and fabricating additional things will be needed in order to finish the job.Mini bi-xenon offers good performance, and easy to install if that's you first retro, retrofitsource are great people to deal with,no problem here, anyway you should read more about it ,ton's of info on hidplanet, including some r32 retrofit diy.Retrofit projector is the best way to go if you want to upgrade headlight.

I agree with installing a smaller projector, I put in Porsche projectors, they are huge and needed a lot of work to fit in but great output.http://forums.gtrcanada.com/gts-tech...tml#post551418
