The bolts that go through the cat, or the nut. The nut is the thing that got seized on my cat.

I need to get it redrilled, those bolts are done.

He just heated up the bolts and then pulled straight up? Or do they twist out.

I believe there just studs, i pulled my exhaust apart last week...the res broke....and the cat nuts i just heated, then when apart im almost certain they were studs poking through the flange. Now weather there is still a way to back the studs out (after heating them of course) im not sure. I dont know about yours but mine wernt bolts

        Twisted.

Make sure you get stainless bolts, then you wont have deal with this sh*t again. ;-)

Thanks for the tip guys! I'm going to have a muffler shop handle most of the exhaust stuff. I'm basically going to bring them the cat and tell them to mock up a test pipe the same size. then bring them the cat back part and tell them to hack out the damn resonator :P.

Just a word of advice: 2X flex-a-lite fans will not fit in the "pull" fashion with that Koyo Rad, youll have to mount them in front and go "push" style, or go with one big one. I had the same plan until I saw the Rad, and realized the space available was tiny. I have decided on 2X push fans in place of the a/c/ condensor. Otherwise though that thing is going to be a beast! There are going to be a few high HP builds around this summer, should be interesting.

Oh and whats up with the turbotech MBC, is that what you plan to run with this build??

Hmm, I think maybe I'll run one big flex a lite fan instead then. I don't want to put the clutch fan back on, so ghetto. lol.

Thank you for the compliments. And yes I'm planning on running the turbotech MBC. It's a high quality made part with excellent precision. It is probably the best bang for your buck on the market, not some cheap ebay piece of junk that works as a bleed valve. Even though I bought it of ebay. lol! It's got a lot of great reviews on the down under site. I will only ever change the boost twice in this build. Once to run stock 7psi to break it in so I don't blow anything up, and then 1.2-1.5 bar for tunning the beast to make the 500hpish setup :P.

Ryan you don't happen to have a brother named will do you?

I have just heard that there is a lot of boost creep problems with MBCs. Let me know how it goes, theres a lot of that kind of info thats not backed up so I am curious to hear from someone with one actually installed.

Yeah that fan thing sucks, you can get 2 in there, but the engine needs room to torque and if you have them in there one will get torqued right into your rad. Those rads are insanely fragile, I almost blew mine on day one by reinstalling my clutch fan, which was way too close since the rad is twice as thick. When I revved high and the engine torqued it hit the rad but didnt go all the way through.

Anyways, great thread, looking forward to seeing how it all goes together. Keep feeding us the updates and pics!

Oh yeah, and I dont have a brother named Will. you must be thinking of someone else!

Thank you again for you reply Ryan, and thank you for your input.

Maybe I will reinstall the clutch fan for the time being when the build is done until I figure out a good electronic fan solution. Only problem is I destroyed my fan shrowd taking it out. It didn't like the koyo rad :P. Hopefully it's not needed.

I will go take some pictures right now and post them up of where I'm at. Excuse the shitty cellphone.
