I'm kinda Jumping in late, congrats on your ride!

In regards to your initial goals list about the battery relocate, I put mine in the center of the trunk between the wheel wells. I didn't want to put it into the back corners like most people do to get more weight to the back; if the main sections of weight are in the front and back of the car, it's harder to smoothly rotate your car. If you can get most of your weight to the middle of the car it turns better. That all depends on what you want to build your car for. If it's quarter mile vs drifting or road racing then obviously it will be different (like hoding a dumbell and rotating it in your hand or doing the same thing to a sphere, which turns much easier). I've attached my thread to show an example of how and where I put my battery (closer to the bottom of the page). If you do want to put it there you can mount it without removing the rear diff, mine happened to be out so it was easier. You also only need to run the power wire to the back and the ground to the chassis. I ran both because I almost had 1 car catch on fire from improperly being grounded and another friends 300ZX TT is now toast.

In Sports Compact Magazine they measured the corner weight of an AE86 and relocated the battery to the trunk, and it had the same effect as moving the engine 10 inches towards the center of the car, and a total of 80pound change of weight (40 off the front and 40 onto the rear, 80pounds closer to balancing the car)!

hey guys, im pretty serious about buying a skyline, just gotta find the right one for the right price:p, im 17 and want to know how much do you pay for insurance on your skyline, is it expensive? should i get a different first car? sorry if this was posted in the wrong place:cry:

I'm moving to Vancouver Island Soon, Where are the closest race tracks??? (quarter mile, road racing, drifting)

If you are willing to work your fenders a bit, go 18x10 +15ish all around if you want some nice dish.

I'd rather not have to touch my fenders... if I have to roll them doesnt that cause cracking, etc... I'd have to get the car repainted around there and what not? I'd prefer to not have to do that..

From what I understand, if done properly (heat the fender), it shouldn't crack the paint. Have a read of this link below, which shows how it's done -
