the reason being that i am trying to figure out what to do with the interior. looking at examples of nice gtr's (yours easily qualifies) would help me decide what looks good/bad w/o actually going thru the hassle of buying stuff, trying it and selling it. ya i'm wierd..lol.
I dont have much done to my interior, its stock seats, stock everything.. except for my sparco steering wheelI like to keep my interior clean and un modified
Stock shift knob and all!

Alright so I picked up an Apexi 3.5 inch downpipe from Ztune on Saturday along with a Greddy E01 Profec boost controller, will be installing the downpipe Jan 24 at a friends place and I'm not too sure about the boost controller yet (Anyone good at installing those that could lend me a hand???) ..
I'll post some pictures up sometime this week and on the weekend after the install..
Then.. in a few weeks I'll be heading to Ztune to get my car tuned. :drive:

Holding up, and has not faded/chipped/discoloured.
In fact, it has cured rock-solid.
Good preparation, and clean surface followed by proper painting techniques will result long-lasting final product.
Besides, I don't think your valve covers see temperatures up to 300-400 Celsius. Probably around 100-190 C at the max.

i painted mine with acrylic enamel....mixed at jb and sprayed through my gun on both my GTRs. They have held up no problem...and look mint! sand em smooth. use some metal etch primer, lightly sand them. prime them, sand them with some 500grit. repeat if u dont like the finish. then paint.... jb can make you any color you want and put it in a spray can.I Love The HKS GTRS SHUFFLE

I already did my coil cover, sanded it all down.. I didn't use any primer I just sanded it so it was perfecctttly smooth.... then I sprayed 3 coats of paint and 3 coats of clear coat it looks really good... was just making sure it would be okay if the paint wasn't made for high temperatures.
Going to do the valve covers today I think...1991 Nissan Skyline GTR for sale - $10,000 obo.

Finally a few updates.
I lost my license for 2 months starting May 26 so I get my license back in just over 2 weeks... I've been working on making my engine bay look a little nicer...
This week I have been working on stripping all the paint off my valve covers and coil cover and cam cover... got that stripped off and yesterday I painted it...
Started with 2 layers of engine primer, then I sprayed on a white base coat, about 3 coats, wet sanded, sprayed another 2 coats... then I sprayed on 4 coats of pearl paint over the white... and then 3 coats of clear coat... It looks awesome, I am sooo excited...
Will post pictures this weekend.
Tonight I'm going to re-paint the engine ornament on my coil cover, not sure what I'm going to do quite yet but I think I'm going to paint the original silver to black, and re-paint the lettering pearl white...
I'm in the works with getting my friend to fab up intercooler piping for me and once those are done I'm going to have a friend anodize the piping and anodize my intake plenum...
I'm thinking my engine theme will be pearl white (to match my exterior) and anodize black, with a few red and chrome accents...
I also plan on relocating my battery to my trunk one of these days... and I have an Apexi Downpipe that I still need to install, so while my friend does the intercooler piping he's going to install the downpipe as well.
I'll post pictures during the process... starting this weekend!1991 Nissan Skyline GTR for sale - $10,000 obo.
