nope... this should be as close to the exhaust of the turbo as possible.

a lot of people put them pre-turbo but i dont like stuff there that can break off...

nice looking car. great price for a rust free rolling car.

the stock temp sensor as you see in his picture and the one everyone is talking about is designed to be in the catalytic converter to warn the driver if the cat is overheating or not by turning on a dash light. It is not a real EGT that you are talking about.

Solid advice, no harm done if you just remove the entire module from under the passenger seat or cut the sensor off.

You're running stock internals still? I'd be curious to know what all you've done and how much bar you pushing with the new turbines.

              Hey Nis,
The car does have stock internals and stock fuel injection.

The internal wastegate activates at 1.2 HGmm/cm2. Which is about 17 PSI. The turbo starts spooling at 3000 (under hard throttle) and is full boost at 5500.

I'm going to Almasi to get it tuned to 14 PSI, to keep my engine and turbos happy and to make sure the fuel can keep up. But first I'm going to need to install my PowerFC and Z32 MAFs with new Filters. Relocating the wiper fluid pump/reservoir at the same time.

If he was smart, he wouldn't paint it, and do a whole "it looks crap" style.

In his defense, I've seen this car in person, and under the hood, and it's really not even 20 percent as bad as the picture suggests. Usual RB26DETT wear and tear, that's all. Maybe it's just the lighting in the pics.

at 1 bar, I don't know if you stock injectors will do... Dumb question. If you set the boost controller at one bar, won't your 1.2 bar actuators not be able to actuate?

Nis: You're right, the boost controller doesn't go below 1.2 bar because of the actuators. Since I'm really not in the mood to take the turbos out again, it's probably going to stay that way. So far I've had no fuel problems; but I haven't dragged it yet, and I'm taking it easy on the street.

FYI I leave the HKS EVC turned off all the time. The EVC is messing with the valve timings and the car runs a little rougher, and the power delivery seems to be ...'wobbly' with the unit turned on.

Turi: I'm doing a custom job. I'll buy some sort of aluminum reservoir, install that in the trunk and run the wiper fluid lines back up the brake lines to the firewall; I should be able to follow the lines currently in the car that send the fluid to the rear.

CDGuy: I'll be at M&M tonight, see you there. I ported and polished all of the intake piping and manifolds, so it looks a little nicer. I'll be painting the valve cover at some point, but probably in the winter.

I wonder why your EVC is doing that. I'm about to buy one but now I'd like to know what's the deal. You have a bad ground there or something or as you hooked in to the ECU with it?

We got the turbos in. What a struggle (not as much as a nismo intake plenum though) with the engine in place. Thankfully I had a lightspeed Wizard helping me!! You were right about the oil return lines. What a load of crap that was. Modified the bolt holes and gasket. Really stupid that the turbos didn't come with gaskets or studs. Anyways, on stock internals and a hot engine, we got 302rwhp at 1bar on a dynapack. (awd is faulty right now due to manhandling the main harness while installing parts) The actuators were actually 14.7psi (1 bar) and that's garantee as I don't have a boost controller installed. The car is pretty laggy compared to stock (3200 vs 4000+ for useable boost). The car is pretty slow since I was expecting a 100 whp more but we all felt safer at 1bar on a 20 year old beater with 135,000km). I will be installing the EVC over the next few weeks. The -5s like to shuffle ALOT.

All you need is fueling now!!
