If any was ever wondering what a quarter panel looks like crated from Nissan, here it is. I can't wait to get these space-wasters out of my garage!!!! (2nd one isn't pictured)

LoL, is that picture of the interior with the carpet I gave you in it or your carpet that I melted with the heat gun?

Note to everyone : Heat guns melt carpets before shrinking heat shrink.

I cant wait to start my car after removing all the sound proofing. I bet my ears will bleed.

I plan on replacing both side of mine at some point. So this means your not going with the veilside kit then?

I sent veilside a large sum of money for the kit, also had to go to the bank and take out a small loan to do so, only for veilside to return it 3 weeks later saying I needed to buy the entire kit at once or they wouldnt let me purchase it. I didn't even want some of the parts and I found it to be a rather poor service from Veilside not knowing there own purchasing guidelines. I decided it wasn't worth the hassle, bought these and have some money to play around with. How I love that E3 widebody though

I don't mean to burst your bubble. But cutting a quater panel off a car is a far more destructive process than repairing a small rust bubble. Be sure to follow your shop step by step to insure they use proper corrosion protection. Weld through primer, etc etc.

^ Thanks. I think I got it covered. Its going to a reputable shop that specializes in restoration and does many projects, many muscle cars, but is also the body shop ZTune uses. The price reflects the work, thats why i didn't go to any joe-blow shop.

I actually got M13 on this forum to do it for me. I gave it a go with the Neffy Wrap and 3M super77 adhesive spray that the site recommended but it was a complete failure. M13 used some sort of industrial style adhesive spray which made it MUCH easier. I suggest you PM him for a better response :P

Picked up some Aerocatch Locking style hood locks/pins for my carbon hood to help fasten it down. Upon first impression, they seem to be very rigid and well made. I chose these as they are a bit more 'tidy' looking and also feature a key lock.

Just a little update. I brought the car into the body shop last wednesday after a rainy afternoon of driving, which is exactly what I needed after 6 months of not driving it! Even though I was in the rain, I still managed to have tons of fun. The only problem I had with the drive was the exhaust was so F*cking loud, and coupled with the sound deadening removed I was getting a headache. I think I'm going to lay some sound deadening after my cage goes in, because I don't think I could deal with that noise for more than a few hours...but we'll see.

Anyways, I went back to the body shop today as I had nothing to do and I had a little bit of a sad-face when I walk into see this.

Im excited but sad to see my car go through surgery lol. They just started on it Thursday and getting down to the nitty gritty. They are doing some awesome work though!

Aerocatch hood pins were installed and look awesome, as well as a test spray for the paint color, which i couldn't be happier with!

The shop is going full board this next week so there should be some more updates and should be ready soon!

WOW, your car is clean behind the skin. I know I have previous body work showing on the inside of the trunk on the drivers side. Yours looks like its still brand new. Yay nissan sealing meathods.
