Thanks for all the comments Indeed, I pretty much did everything on the motor except the machining (of course). The great thing about powder coat is it's strength and has a great gloss. The only maintenance needed is a good power wash. Probably needed a bit more often with the white though. All the measurements are within spec so hopefully it doesn't break like allot of rebuilt 26s I see
Like Allen said I must keep this thing updated! I Put on my water lines because an OEM return line was cracked, Also bolted up the tranny and massaged the bitch in
I gotta say this is the easiest way to bolt this heavy slut on
My brother Dave keeping it sleazy as per usual
Going to be tying up all the loose ends this week. Hopefully have it running pretty quick here

Cheers! Soo close to done. I'm missing a couple small parts as per usual. Also have to do a couple things. I'm off to Asia for 6 weeks tomorrow though so it's pushed to the back burner till August I'll try to post a travel blog if I can
Youre the first guy I've seen to do white covers on the 26...It looks amazing! All you need is to do the lettering on the front in black and it would be tent-pitching material. Were they white before the engine was out? Hard to keep clean?
Well I'm in Bagkok right now with a solid Wifi connection waiting for my 23 some hour flight back on Wednesday, Had an amazing trip but more on that when I get back. I'm so pumped to finish this thing but with my $4000 trip, moving a couple hours away, and back to school in September I'm not sure if if going to have the money to tune it, insurance, gas ect... this summer. I'll have to do some extreme budgeting to do it so we'll see
@ Oakville Thanks bud, I was planning on doing the black lettering on the 26. The black paint I used on the other stuff isn't very good though and seems to be flaking already even though I degreased, sanded, and cleaned the **** out of the parts
My fuel rail got nicked by the chain while installing the motor (sorry joe). I was so pissed but some black touch up paint should clear it up. Also my oil pan leaks about a teaspoon oil a day so that will need a bit of welding done as well More pics and updates when I arrive and get the motor started.. hopefully
Finally after a couple years it runs!! Those rad sensors are nearly impossible to find... idles nice with the cams and injectors but drowns itself out above 2k lol
Just waiting on my AFK and some funds to tune it now.
Here's some pics of the semi final product. Just some small things now to clean it up. I still want to change the couplers to black and change the air filters. Power coat the wheels white maybe in the distant future. Let me know what you think! vids soon to come
Thanks gents!! Don't have a oem shroud so I didn't bother. Not a whole lot of traffic here in Lethbridge and no road courses unfortunately so I think I'll be fine for now
I'm thinking about switching timing belt bolts again though. Just learned high grade bolts and vibrations don't really get along. I guess the softer metal in the oem grade bolts will bend a bit with the vibrations
So i just finished putting my LS2 coils in and took it for a rip. It was running pretty good. Much better than before, my intercooler piping came off with fury. At which point my exhaust proceeded to unleash some ferocious blue and I mean blue smoke. Did a dry and wet comp test. # 6 is down for the count
