Should be well into the 10 seconds with enough seat time. but running the street tune, should be low 11'sOriginally posted by bobbo View PostCongrats! 11 second street car is pretty serious!
He should be picking it up this week. I am going to try to get saturday off work and convince him to take his to the track so me and him can race head to headOriginally posted by Dragon Humper View PostYour dad's Camaro doesn't stand a chance.

I have a route 6 gear set. They may be a hair different ratio than stock... Came with the car so I'm not sure. Rear end coulda been changes as well, once again not sure exactly. That was my first night out ever racing a fast car. I should be about 10.8 eventually I think. I know it would beat my dads now. He doesn't think it will be able to beat his Camaro though. 1967 RS just got completely restored top to bottom. Took the shop 4 years lol. He's running a small block all Alluminum 427. 440rwhp on that unit.
And yes that vent came on the car when I bought it. It's a stock hood, but the owner in Japan cut a hole in it and placed the vent.

Do you have GTS4 gears? I go through the traps at 128mph and i am only at about 7500rpm in 4th. It's a good start, get her up to 130mph through the traps and you got a low 10 in the bag.
Did that hood vent come with the car?

Been a long summer without the car. Went and picked it up yesterday around 5pm. We did a race fuel tune on it (104 octane) and achieved 620awhp and 520awt. Took it to street legals for the first time in my life, also had never launched the car... First two runs my launch control wasnt building any boost, ran a 12.3 @ 126MPH (2.314 - 60 foot). second run was 12.0 @126MPH (2.134 - 6- foot), third run I got my boost on launch figured out and ran a 12.2 @ 124MPH (2.106 - 60 foot). Cam had done some tweaking and got me an additional 35 ft lbs of torque with the same hp numbers, except the car would start losing power at 7k rpm instead of about 7600 rpm. I was always finishing the 1/4mile in 4th gear at about 8200 rpm so on my last run, I was going to see what would happen if I could get it into 5th gear quick enough..... well I missed the shift into 5th twice and coasted across the finish line at 116 MPH (10mph slower than it should be) but at an 11.5 (1.902 - 60 foot) So I was very happy about that run. only got four runs in so with more seat time, I am hoping to get the car into the 10's which it is definitely capable of. Car was doing about 98-99 mph by the 1/8 mile, at 7.5 seconds

Great guy. Does all the work on my car except the actual building of the motor. Does some of the best work I have ever seen. So clean and particular with what he does. everything seems to be perfect from him.
