  • Making a beast beautiful!

This wont be a on going build thread as I am too lazy to keep up with the minds of Frankiman and Marus92 but I thought id throw up some pics of the work being done on my bnr32. After dumping 30+k into my motorset I thought a little body work couldnt hurt

How it arrived at the body shop!

    Starting the tear down

    Some Prep

    All masked up!

    Some Primer:

    Starting to spray

    First couple of coats

That is as far as she sits right now. How this all got started was my buddy who works at a well known body shop approached me as he wanted to start doing some work on the side after hours to make some extra $$. The owner was fine with him using the shop as long as it was after hours. He knew i was looking into paint and offered to do full job as you can see at cost of materials to showcase his work. Obviously I was more than willing to benefit from this situation. When it came down to picking a color, I could of chosen any color in the world i wanted. With that being said I thought about it for a few weeks and the only color I really liked was a deep blue similar to bayside blue but i decided it was far too common on r chassis to justify the switch. So in the end I decided to stick to something I knew I was already happy with KH2 gun metal lol! The way the kh2 worked with my CCWS I was happy and didnt want to pick a color I would end up not liking in the end. Stay tuned for more pictures and the final product over the course of the week!

As you can see in one or two of the pics there was minor spot repairs needed in order to fix some imperfections. The body was in pretty good shape though, no major dents just sratches and fading here and there.

Lucky SOB lol, mine's going to be a nightmare I'm sure. Are you painting the rims to match?

Better not. If they're CCWs you don't want to touch them.

Nothing better than a fresh body on a r32. Far too many beaters running around. More pictures are in order I hope!
