  • Back to the R32 - 1992 GT-R

So it has been about 5 years since I've owned a skyline. I've since owned an S14.5, and an E36 M3, but always in the back of my mind I've missed my old GTS-T. So, since I ended up selling my E36 last year, and haven't been able to bear the thought of not having something to play with, I've bought another car.
Sadly, it's still in Japan right now, but I'm way to excited to contain myself, so I decided to start a build thread for it!

My parameters were that I wanted a pretty mint, low km's car that I can take to the track, do some highway cruises, and maybe a few rips at drift practice.
Originally I was looking at an S14 Kouki, but found myself continually falling back to wanting an R32.

So after "umming and ahhing," naturally I came to the realization that I should just buy an R32 GT-R and have all those things covered, and have my yearning for another R32 fulfilled.

So in my search, I came across this beauty at auction and decided I had to have it.

I did get a pic of the interior and engine bay, but its a collage and I don't feel like posting it as it's super small.
What I do know about the car, is that it currently has 21 xxx km's on the ODO, and is 100% stock aside from the R33 GT-R wheels.

The action sheet states that it is possible that the mileage is not true, however based on the condition of the exterior and interior/engine bay, I believe it to be under the 100k km mark for sure, but I'll have a better idea when it gets here/when we see the history report when we get the export papers.

It has a lot to live up to, but I'm sure she will put a smile on my face the first time I see/drive her.
Can't wait for the end of May! *ish*

I look forward to being able to make it out to a few Skymeets in the near future!

A good friend of mine actually. He runs a company called V.I. Imports (or that's what it used to be anyway haha). So he's been helping me me out with everything

Heh, I made John's website back in the day when he was still living in Victoria. Back when I was less than half the developer I am now! He got me my first one as well.

So I have also received more pictures, which gives me a little more info about the car as well.
It does actually have a nismo cluster, so tracking the real mileage will be super simple once we get the export/de-registration documents. Also, the car is still showing to be super mint in the updated photos, which makes me happy haha.

Pics to follow in the next post(s)!

                            And the piece to resistance:

That's right. Factory 6cd changer (note the controller in the cabin). Be jealous.
