Felix your car is nuts, but if you get all that cf work done in black, with maybe a few yellow accents like 604 said
it would wet a few pairs of shorts.
damn u guys are artistic !! Shoulda consulted u guys in advance !!
I was thinking of doing my passenger side glove box in the same carbon Kevlar just to match the driver side ... What do u think ??
Because you're asking me, I'm gonna be brutally honest. So, just take it with a grain of salt.
I don't like the yellow CF. It's too busy. It gives an effect similar to the LV pattern:
I personally like the standard black CF better. More subtle. And can still give "class". I'd like the viewer to look inside your interior.. examining things slowly, then realizing... "wow, that's all CF!".. rather than an in-your-face interior.
If your next plan is to swap out the glove box lid, then I don't think it's gonna help your cause any better. The black dash will break up the "spotty" yellow CF that's littered all over your interior. Visually, the eye just doesn't have a good line to flow through. Very jarring and unappealing.
Eber's got the right idea. Just do a little research on some high-end interiors. See what made them stand out. You'll realize it's not just CF that makes their dashes look good. It's the layout.
Challenge yourself. Design something that will look great AND work in a practical fashion. Put some thought into it. Form follows function. Whenever I see both together...that's what REALLY gets my juices flowing.
After all that's said, I have to say the original R32 dash is pretty ugly to begin with. Not exactly aesthetically pleasing to the eye. But, things worked and that's all that mattered. So, in your defense, you had a bad canvas to start out with.
Sorry.
EDIT: Found a random pic. If you really like the two-tone.. here's an (ok, but extreme) example:
Notice the lines created by the contrast between the two tones. Smooth running.
Also came across this forum with some good interiors too. Good for some inspiration:
lots of carbon, i am also a fan of the Black. IMO it just looks cleaner.
that was some of my old stuff, i had everything that i could tak eoff done like that. But there again, each to his own, it is your car so it is what YOU like/want.
but man, all this super nice stuff, and still gauges taped to the dash..... your better than that man. it really messes with the whole flow of the whole car.
you have custom dipped fittings, but you cheaped out on mounting your guages.
actually this carbon stuff was done last year when i was still hella rich...then the economy droped over xmas so the budge i had for the gtr was gone some where else, now i am waiting for money to come back !!!
OBAMA better bring the economy back.....other wise my car will always be in the garage without an engine...
actually...i have ALL the parts..including the whole rebuild kit...i just need money for labour
someone help me !!!! .........
All parts sold are no refund/exchange
