engine removal - final stage questions

    Did you undo the tension rod as well? That was holding me back lol. It should swing a LOT when you do that.

      Crank the steering wheel all the way to the left. Put the axle back into the diff as far as you can to give yourself more clearance to remove the hub side first. It will be easier to articulate. With the lower control arm undone you should be able to now pull the hub out and turn it to the right. With you other hand or someone else's pull the axle out. Then just pop it from the diff,done..

        yeah

        i get about 6-8 inches like you said, but that only sways the assemblys on an angle, not front and back. as a result the acxel still does not move. i only get side to side motion. its hard to explain.

        the axel will go back into the diff and back out again to where i have it now very very freely with the lca and tension rod out, but only to a point where it stops and jams

            kealog, that essentially is like me turning the wheel - thats the kind of movement i get

            i can only go so far (wheel turned right) until the axel stops oming out and doesnt move, trhats at the point where my steering angle cant go any further.
