here's the culprit. 4 hours of work for a stupid rubber hose.

i was so relieved when i found out it was just the hose that was the problem. so many worse case senarios were going through my head. although getting to it was no walk in the park and putting everything back on will be a pain in the ass.

does anyone see any reason why i shouldn't go to my local auto store and pick up some general rad / silicone hose, rather then try to buy the nissan part?

try it, see if it kinks, if it does....get an oem one.
I have that hose at home... It's the same one in the pic, but I replaced it. You can have my old one? I dont' recommend it though.

            So familiar

I was driving all day yesterday with no problems, so no funny noises, and no odd vibrations. I'm seriously confused as to what the hell is wrong with my baby. Last night I parked down town (victoria) and headed to some clubs, after getting bored and not wanting to deal with the BS that was going on down town I went back to my

the best advice i can give is refer to the service manual. it shows every step and the exact bolts for the plenum. you don't need any fancy tools, just time and paitence. getting the actual hose off was the hardest part for me. i'll post some pics of what to expect.

some touble i had was taking out these 2 bolts. i thought it would help but it didn't leave them in.

these 2 bolts for the aac assembly are really hard to get in and out of place. I took 2 nuts off the plenum studs to keep them from falling down untill i re-install the plenum they bolt to.

this is where the hose attaches that is the problem. i removed 2 other smaller hoses (vaccuum) to get the larger coolant one off thats in behind them.
