  • replacement of oil pump with engine in car

    Probably a stupid question

But can it be done ?

  • #2
It can (according to the guys on GTROC in the UK), but those who have tried it both ways say it's less painful to just pull the engine.

Hi there, if the oil pump is running fine (engine is not seized or blown up) just keep driving it and stay under 8000 and away from the rev limiter till you have to rebuild your old car. That's when it's a good time to change it. Lots of guys are paranoid that their pumps will fail but if you're replacing the pump, may aswell rebuild and do things right
