This sounds like a MAF issue to me. Try cleaning the mafs / resoldering the connections, but this issue is starting to sound exactly like what i had this summer, especially since the car started after sitting for a while, then acted up after warming. Id definitely say you have a pooched MAF.

for fun, try starting the car with one maf unplugged, and try then the other, and see if it starts one of the two ways.

if that were the case would the ecu report it? ecu still says 55. If ecu wouldnt record that than i will give that a shot next.

Yeah, ecu would probably pick that up actually... But worth a shot

Also check for airleak between airfilter, MAF. Can make ECU engage boost cut / load cut when reving engine. But engine should recover.

ECU picked up faulty MAF on my car.

A Ghetto trick is lightly tapping on MAF's, wiring to see if problem shows up.

If you run a good dry airfilter like Apexi airfilter, shouldn't have any problems. I have run Apexi airfilter (changed 1x due to getting dirty) and MAF has lasted over 10 years without problems so far.

Sometimes people clean MAF with carb cleaner which damages hotwire. Should clean hotwire with electrical? contact cleaner or CRC MAF cleaner.

I don't see how your CAS would stay in the correct position without the pin but maybe I'm missing something. As for the warming up part, did you unplug the idle air valve when adjusting timing? If not then you won't have proper timing.

pretty sure mines just a timing issue as that little piece broke off the exhaust cam shaft that guides the CAS.. if anyone know where to get some OEM replacement would be awesome :x higher end ones cost a bit right now :x
