Depending who tunes you, if you end up real rich, it makes up for the fuel difference. I've put 87 octane in my lightspeed tune out of curiousity and it's wasn't 9.8 AFR rich anymore more like 11 haha. It was back when my engine was too "weak" (minty 20 year old) to make power with so it was going in the dumpster anyway.

You guys still have Husky 94? You lucky bastards, I love that fuel. We lost it last year, best 94 I've ever run. The current offering at Chevron is better than it used to be but still not as good as what good old H/M 94 used to be.

I love ethanol, i wish E85 was sold here, you'd think in the tree hugger capital of Canada it would be. I'm going ahead with my 50/50 mix of methanol and Cheveron 94 this year, I hope the 1000cc injectors will be enough for 750hp.

I remember reading about that setup and the good power... he now has a drysump on his street legal car haha so a crazy fuel system isn't all that crazy. If I could weld, I'd have a fuel cell in place of the OEM plasticfantastic tank.

Anyway, while I have the budget, my fuel flow limiting tomei pump has to be upgraded. I decided to make sure I have much more than just enough fuel rather than be limited by it. I'm not going for 500whp... If I could sell my nearly new -5s I'd go bigger as I heard they won't see 600whp. Anyway, I have a vipec with meth, with knockbox. The boost controlling is done in the vipec (don't know if that's a good thing... makes on the fly changes from low to high tricky...?)

That being said, upgrading to the -6 line and 800cc Injectors would be plenty of fuel to make running out of water/meth safe. Might have been cheaper to buy yourself a boost controller that can react to problems and drop boost pressure on the fly.

since i drive my gtr in the states alot i got retuned for 92 octane which is the best that is accessible in the states. it also contains ethanol which is in comparison to the 94 octane i originally got tuned on from chevron with no ethanol. this way when i go to the states i can run 92 with no problems and when i drive the car up here i can run 94 and run a little rich. its better then the other way around where if i went to the states id run lean. however i lost 25awhp at low boost switching to 92.

I can't do a pull below basically 1/3 tank. That's why if I have time this winter I will switch to a swirl pot way better then being on top of your gas ALL the time.

My setup definitely recycles the fuel and I've never had a problem with so called hot fuel...
I thought of that but because I like heavy cornering and don't always have a full tank, I have to do an external pumps and a swirlpot, don't want to run dry. The factory tank is poo.

At 320lph each, you probably didn't have issues when 1 failed cause you don't make 500+whp

I threw away the stock rail and lines 3 years ago. Went with -6 all around with Tomei rail/fpr, 800cc injectors and tomei intake fuel pump. Was told by the tuner I didn't have enough fuel for 550whp so rather than arguing or looking for a new tuner (due to ecu having limited tuners nearby), I'm making sure I can't be turned down for ANYTHING (other than stock gearbox lol). If my tomei pump with water meth gets me to near 550whp lets say (on -5s) and my meth failed, there wouldn't be lots of fuel available to dump in for safety... I'm too cheap to run race gas and a separate cell for it. The meth is more for safety and a bit for added power.

So, I took off the abrasive -6 lines, tomei rail, 800cc injectors and tomei fuel pump which are for sale.

Now (for the time being unless I roll back to the thought of a single...) going with:
Bosch 040 intank pump to 4L swirlpot (no pump controller)
twin Bosch 044s (since more than 90% of big power GTRs in the world run twins and not big singles) feeds a -10 (or 2 -6, not sure on this yet, I have enough hose for either), through a framerail mounted fuel cooler then split to twin -6 and a -8 return.
    ID 1000cc
    HKS rail
    Tomei type L fpr
I might run a fuel temp gauge more out of curiousity really...

A1000 or 1100A flow too much for my hp goal and would circulate excess fuel for nothing.
Should I have issues with the twins (if it doesn't kill engine #3), I will swap a few lines and go with a Weldon 1100A and controller.

Yes I'm crazy... No it's not a race car, just a hobby for the meets on sundays rofl... probably wouldn't pass a safety at the tracks since I don't have a rollcage.

Funny you mention that, I held an in tank 300l/h pump in my hand at lordco the other day and it was the same size as a stock Nissan pump. Twins would be good to 1000hp easily if "hotwired" and be only a little bit louder than stock. The best part is that they are dirt cheap.

I see in your pick that you have the pump screwed right to the trunk floor. That pretty much is like hooking it up to an amplifier and turning the knob to 11. Use some insolated rubber mounts and the noise will be much less.
