Did you use used OEM's ignition coils?

I bought Splitfire's ignition coils from the US the price was good, there about $700 in Toronto.

Whats the part# for those brittle wires, I think I need a set.

I wouldn't buy Splitfire, their way to expensive. Yellowjackets are about half the price, most people on here run these now.

There's a group buy going on http://forums.gtrcanada.com/group-bu...p-buy-5-a.html until the end of the month.

I had the same problem and found out it was the coil pack harness. Nissan has some in stock and they sell it for 160$ and also taking off the coilpack cover will help to eliminate the problem.

My engine sounded exactly like that but had a mad shake to it a couple days back. let it sit for 15 minutes and it was all fine..? Havent looked into it much because its running fine now but not sure what it was, might of been a coil pack that just decided to quit working for a bit maybe?

Ya by leaving the coil pack cover off it helps keep the coils and wires a lot cooler. evolution23, it was the exact same thing for me. the problem would come and go until the one of the coils finally just went and the sound was constant. Try the whole unplugging your coils one at a time to isolate which coil is failing, and once you find the coil thats on its way out swap it out with a coil from a cylinder that was working to make sure its the coil and not just the wires.
