Anyone running a Nismo Gmax twin plate?

I just bought one used and just want to know about the throw out bearing. Can I use my stock one or do I need a special one for a twin plate clutch? I wanted get a new one but when searching found oem ones and also ones for aftermarket twin plate clutches. Not really sure what one to get.

You should always use the throw out bearings that are supplied with the clutch. They are given for a reason (usually the fit is different). That being said, the seller should be able to send you the bearing he still has. Contact him and you should be ok.

check the splines first ... i know some of the gmax ones are different then your normal gtr transmission spline because they are for an upgraded input shaft. it could be for the regular input shaft but i would be getting a clutch alignment tool and making sure the splines line up before i do anything else. heck i would roll down to nissan and ask to borrow one for 10seconds.

I have the tool with the clutch and it came off a gtr but not sure if his had a upgraded input shaft. He said he used the stock bearing but he wasen't sure if it's stock or not. He said the clutch came with his car but he didn't like how stiff it was.

Didn't like how stiff it was? Whaaaa? Mine drives like a stock clutch. I love my GMax. It came with new flywheel bolts and a new throwout bearing. All were in the OEM packaging from Nissan. Stock parts.

It shouldn't be much then stock, that is the point of a dual plate clutch to increase surface area to allow for more torque capability without having to increase pressure plate clamping force. Of course there are clutches that do both as well
