Everything is pretty straight forward. I would suggest getting new o-rings for all the fittings. The only part im stuck on is getting a new dryer canister, anyone have a part number?

Ya I took my car in to get it tested for leaks and a recharge and yes, they had to purge the system and put different fittings for the 134. It was a simple procedure and only took an hour total and it works perfect so if your reinstalling I would suggest with the newer fittings or if you take it to get charged, they will have to do it anyway. You can use the recharge kits but I have heard that the kits don't work nearly as well as advertised. But this is not personal experience so it may work fine. I h e never worked on an ac system before so I just took it in. No headache.

Yea, id like to but schooling makes me so broke! ill attempt it my self n if i can't ill take it in! with weather warming up i need to do it
so i took my car to a place who would install my ac, the guy looked at everything and said he can do it, it would be about $125 to install it + $150 to do a pressure test n what not + misc parts. so around $300, can i not have him install it then use the recharge kit on it? if so wouldn't that save me $150? because we already have one so..
if i can't i can but.. if anyone knows please let me know

Hey, what exactly did they do to your system? They just installed those converte fittings, vacuume the whole system for 1/2 hour and recharge it back with R134???
Or they actually did some convertion to the actual piping???
Don't bother converting to 134a, it will be dead soon anyway. Just go to Walmart and pick up the Duracool recharge kit. It has every thing you will need and is only about $70. If you can't find that brand the RedTeck stuff is the same thing.
For those of you that don't like that stuff, suck it, I would rather have a refrigerant that is slightly flammable than one that turns into mustard gas when it burns.
Jon.
this is what i was thinking of doing, but not sure what id need to do after every things installed in the car?
