  • Rb26 triple turbo

I know this has been done before probably down-under, but I was thinking why not use three stock size turbos or N1s
instead of two bigger ones or one really big one?? One would think it would be quite responsive and with a straight
6 the plumbing wouldn't be all that difficult. Don't get me wrong I am not going to do this anytime soon but I think it
would be cool and different. Does anyone know of a car like this or seen this setup somewhere on an RB? Just thinking out loud.

Gonna be lots of money to replace 3 turbos. Is there even space for 3?

What's the general purpose or desired gain from three turbos that you couldn't gain off a properly set up/tuned single?

He must be one of the "more turbos, more response" guys.

Also, if you look at the firing order of the rb26 (153624) you will see it won't work like you think it will.

I know that video but didn't know that car had three Turbos.

In other news apparently BMW will likely soon be releasing triple Turbo inline six's but one of the turbos is electric powered, interesting.

Dusty, why not do the tried and true. Just go spend 20k on a good build and you'll be fast enough. Maybe not as fast as the guys with 3-4 times more budget but you'll be faster than any expensive custom triple not-gonna-do-well-setup.

Or do the smarter thing and go supercharger mwahaha. Better response, more low end torque, less heat, less maintenance, less pipes, less weight, cooler oil... Superchargers>turbos. Can't you tell I'm a V8 guy haha. I have the GT500 bug...
