    Thats exactly what im going to order. Im ganna have it shipped to my buddys house in the states and installed there so i shouldnt get hit with that fee right?

      No i dont think so, in fact i believe they offer free shipping within the state so you should be a lot better off

          I run a spec stage 5+ unsprung on my r33 and its pretty good. The engagement is like a switch, but the pedal is soft.
          If you buy the stage 2 its more than you will need for your setup. It can hold up to 415ft lbs of torque.
          Act clutches are also good. We use them a lot in supras, silvias and skylines.
          Check out Frsport.com. They have most of them in stock ready to ship.
          When picking your vehicle there, pick a 93 r33 gtst with an rb25. It uses the same clutch as your car. If you pick 91 gtr, it will show you pull type clutches, which is not what you need.

            Ill check it out, one of my main worries here is my LAUNCHING. AWD launches use a lot more clutch than rwd or fwd, thats why im going with a lot stronger of a clutch than what torque my car has. Am applying my assumption correctly to which clutch i choose.

              I agree the engagement of the higher spec clutches are like a switch, but I like the softer pedal pressure over the twin or triple discs. The thing with discs made from materials similar to brake pads (carbon or organic metallic) once you "glaze" or burn the friction surfaces your clutch engagement power is cut and is never the same. Also in my experience the torque or holding capacities advertised in clutch strength is usually about half of what they can actually dependably hold. Yeah on a rwd street tired car they might hold what they say, but 4wd or launching in slicks to the mix and you need twice the clamping force. Always go with more than what you need with clutches so you have room to grow into it. I am sure there are a lot guys here who will say you only need a stage 1 or 2, but take it from me, after replacing the clutch 3 or 4 times you will learn.

                Thats some good advice, ontop of all the good advice ive gotten but this is an answer that ive been looking for. I knew that awd demanded a beefier clutch! Thats why im looking at the stage 3+ holding up to 585 tq while my car probably has 280-290 tq. So I should be happy and left with a durable and reliable clutch if I order that right?

                  You are probably needing 250% more clamping force than the stock clutch. Heck I would put that as minimum equipment on a stock gtr if you are doing hard launches. Launch technique has a lot to do with it too. Also proper installation and alignment is key as well as proper break in (this is hard to do if you drive like I do). Don't be afraid of converting clutch type this gives you more options and is a snap for any shop (far as I know it is as simple as installing the clutch and you are converted). I converted.

                    My technique is when im sitting un-moved at a light i rev to about 5.5k while the clutch is floored, when the light goes green i release the clutch slowly until i feel the car can smoothly and clutch-independantly go forward without jolting. My launches rely on clutch and since i dont have that much power im riding the clutch for about 2 seconds before the car is rdy to completly go without any riding (without jolting forward as if i would let go of the clutch completly as soon as i started revving). My launches feel safe, i feel like im doing it the right way, maybe not the best way for ET times but i dont jolt or anything i probably just over-wear the clutch because i do smell clutch everytime i launch. Still think a stage 3+ is good for me or should i go higher?

                      If you go higher ie 6 puck unsprung, the lifespan of the clutch is considerably lower 15-20k km? compared to the stage 3+ which can last up to 80-90k km(according to Spec)

                        I would go to a tuner shop and ask a professional, don't take advice from the internet. Get it from someone who builds these things for a living.

                          I use a nismo clubman clutch with a coppermix single plate and its great supposed to be good for around 500 hp , and feels very light and easy to engage . not sure how much they are as i had it on the car when i bought it. Although im not one for dropping it at the lights, too many eyes watching these days!

                            depends what the surface of the flywheel and friction plate is, if they can be refinished and remain within spec, no problem, cost me about 60 bucks from my machinist last time. as for the clutch plates, there are replacement, if they are out of spec, if my memory serves correctly, the limit is 2.8mm

                              Had ACT in the S14, just the heavy duty, was good for the price but it was an ol' KA. . .lasted long and did it's job. . .prices have gone up on their clutches recently, but still a good product. . .

                              Exedy clutches - Had one on my FD last year. . .held good until i tried to do a 2nd gear burnout with bfg drag radials. . .it lasted 2 years with no slipping or problems. . .

                              Competition clutches - Had one in the G35. . .Stage 4. . .wasn't comfortable for daily driving. . .a bit like a light switch. . .

                              Carbonetics - unreal. . .both in clamping force and feel. . .feels like stock but it will not let go. . .none of that on/off feeling. . .I will not buy another brand of clutch ever again. . .
