  • Greddy knockoff intake manifold

I've been on e-bay the last few days buying misc parts for my GTR (brand name) and came across a deal I couldn't refuse. I saw these manifolds for around $400 or $350 with enough excess shipping to equal $400. Yesterday I saw one for sale for $215 plus $85 shipping so I bought it.

From what I can see in multiple e-bay adds it looks like the construction is pretty good. Looks like good flat machined surfaces and it shouldnt have the lean #6 problem.

I tried to find threads online of people using these, but no luck. For $300 total I'm willing to be a Guinea pig. I'm going to test fit, and if all seems well I'm going to tap it for my 6 water/meth injectors and then have it powdercoated. I figure even if the casting is porus (no welds to be porus) then the powdercoat layer will be another layer of protection against leakage.

On the upside, since it is a 2 piece design, it should be easier to install/uninstall than the factory intake. I'll report on it when I get it back.

If anyone has heard anything good or bad about these intake manifolds, let me know. The only thing that has me thinking bad things is most of the adds say some modification required. I guess I'll see what that means when it gets here.

I am also interested as I wanted to buy one of these. However though, I wanted to drop the itb's for the single 90mm TB. But if this turns out I may just end up buying one of these for the low price!

Yeah, it still uses the ITB's

In as well, if this works well id be down for one. i was thinking of getting one and completely cleaning the inside by hand to smooth out any casting flaws, owdercoating the unit and getting greddy gaskets

Well I recieved my intake manifold today. I can say I'm impressed! There was a $40 customs charge to add to the total, but for $340 it's a good deal.

How it appeared when I unpackaged it.

This was the part that worried me, but not any more. Look at the nice casting, I don't even have to smooth it out. Looks great!

This side has a few high spots and burrs but those are easy to take care of. The rest is fairly smooth. This will be no problem to clean up.

So far I've only thrown a few bolts into it to see how it looks put together and the bolt holes line up properly. I have to say that for the price and the likely performance advantage I'm impressed.

I eyeballed the ITB flange and it looks nice and straight. When my head gets back I will install and update furthur. I would say money well spent to fix the lean #6 problem.

You've sold me on the product. I'll be placing an order sooner than later. What vendor on eBay?

This is the guy I bought it from. He doesn't have any currently listed but it can't hurt to ask. Maybe he will even do a group buy.

I just sent him a message asking is he has any more for that price. I'll update with any new info.

Have you fitted the manifold yet? I've heard that it hits the clutch master.
And also many were saying that it'll be very laggy because of the short runners.
My local importer sells this knock off manifold and I'm really considering buying this, so I'd like top know the progress
