GTR with a lumpy idle, need help

I got my hands on a timing light. I have a spark plug wire that I'm going to hook into the #1 coil but how would I set the base timing with my idle at 1200rpm? I'm suppose to unplug tps or AAC, IACV which one if any? I at least want to see where it's at without doing any adjustment to see where I'm at. I do notice when cruising and I let off the gas the engine slows right down, like I always have to keep on the gas. So I figure the timing is probably off.

Hook the timing light up to the wire going to the coil, i believe its one of the black ones leave it on the spark plug, needs to b running, can adjust the timing by turning the cas.
