    Youre getting confused.
Do a search on "filling N1 water pump hole" or somthing so you can see pics of all the things we are saying. The jbweld has nothing to do with pressure.

On my car I just filled the hole with Nissan liquid gasket and used the stock screw, no jb weld, no washers, no actual welding just extra silicone.
    Held never leaked.

^^ as mentioned above, liquid gasket works fine too, the same stuff you used to seal the water pump

Elliot, I just got the exact SAME water pump. Are you talking about the slot that is on the top , slightly to the right side? It is not a hole but a rectangular slot with round edges, to put the screw in through? I have the water pump gasket maker. Maybe that will work in it? Do I fill it up completely and then insert the bolt or put the bolt in, and then fill it up on top from the side of the bolt?

PS; Just got the timing belt. Great, as described. Thanks, Elliot. I hope she holds.

Theres only slot on the whole pump so youll know which one were referring to. As for fixing it, refer to all the posts above. I panicked and replaced it with a genuine R32 one but everyone above it confident that it is sealable. Best of luck! And im glad that belt arrived, sorry it took longer then Can Post said. It was out of my control

              Here where my pump is

You'll get better street reliability on a stock pump. The impeller design on the n1 makes it flow less at idle I remember learning, so it'll over heat faster than oem. On the hard drives, it's much Better though

Its not an N1 pump, just has the same elongated hole as the N1 thats why we are talking about it.
Its clear from the fins its a stock pump.

actually the N1 water pump is great. you have to remember, coolant has to have a dwell time to actually absorb the heat and move it to the radiator. if it moves too fast , it looses efficiency. hence why the N1 has less fins, slower speed on water travel, lets the coolant dwell more to absorb.
